Welcome to the Monaco Family website! This is our story in the best way we can portray it via the Internet. It all began in November of 2003, when Marcie and I met via a blind date. A.J. and Rochelle were part of this instant family package! I proposed to Marcie over the Charleston harbor in September of 2004. We secretly eloped in October of 2004 in Mt. Pleasant, and then had a ceremony witnessed by friends and family at the Church of the Holy Communion in downtown Charleston, SC in May of 2005.

Marcie is from Yuma, CO, and Joe was raised as an Army Brat and went to high school in Highland Falls, NY. Marcie is a domestic engineer and Joe is an U.S. Air Force pilot, stationed at Hickam AFB, HI.

In January of 2008 we took a different approach to the birthing experience.  Marcie delivered Paul Edward Monaco on the bathroom floor of our Charleston, SC home! Paul weighed 8 lb., 12 oz., and was 21” long.  It seems that this is now the preferred method of birthing delivery for the Monaco Family!

In October of 2009 we welcomed Zachary Quentin Monaco into the world at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI.  Zachary weighed 7 lb., 14 oz., and was 20.5” long.  While we prefer the home-birth, it wasn’t an option for this delivery.  Aloha Zachary!
